What is Polyurethane Hardener D100?
Polyurethane is a single-component or two-component product based on polyurethane resin. Two-component polyurethane resin requires the second component, the hardener, to cure. The hardener reacts with oxygen to harden and gel over time, so the container lid must be tightly closed after each use to prevent exposure to air and moisture. Hardener should be kept out of reach of children, and a mask is recommended when mixing with resin. The application environment should have proper ventilation, and direct and continuous skin contact should be avoided. The hardener is flammable and should be kept away from heat and flames.
How to Use Polyurethane Hardener D100?
Step 1: Preparation
Polyurethane hardener is used as a curing agent in fast-curing coating systems. The amount of hardener used depends on the resin and hardener mixing ratio. Before using the hardener, the resin should be mixed for two to three minutes with a clean stirrer.
Step 2: Application Method
The recommended amount of Polyurethane Hardener D100 (10% by weight) is added to the polyurethane resin. For example, 10 grams of Polyurethane Hardener D100 is mixed with 100 grams of polyurethane resin. After accurately weighing the required amount of resin and hardener, mix the resin and hardener gently for 3 minutes.
Allow the resin and hardener mixture to rest for 3 to 5 minutes to let any air bubbles from stirring escape.
Then, apply Polyurethane WP220 using a brush or roller to the desired surface.
