What is P40 Two-Component Sealant Adhesive?
The P40 Two-Component Sealant Adhesive offers exceptional resistance and outstanding adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, including stone, concrete, metal, ceramic, and wood. Developed exclusively by Mandana Polymer, a knowledge-based company specializing in advanced polymer elastomer and cement-based waterproofing solutions, this adhesive is engineered to seal gaps, cracks, and grooves on all surfaces (floors and walls). Its superior strength prevents re-cracking and prepares the surface for waterproofing.
This adhesive is ideal for underlayment and sealing hairline cracks up to 1 mm on surfaces such as balconies, pools, saunas, jacuzzis, rooftops, and other building components requiring waterproofing. Easy to apply with a spatula, the P40 adhesive is cost-effective and versatile. Following the application, surfaces can be waterproofed, tiled, or paved. The P40 sealant is highly resistant to erosion, abrasion, positive and negative pressure, UV exposure, various environmental conditions, as well as acidic and alkaline substances.
Application Method for P40 Two-Component Sealant Adhesive
Below is a step-by-step guide for applying the P40 sealant adhesive.
Step 1: Preparing the Surface
Use the P40 adhesive to fill small gaps and cracks. Repair all seams and cracks using P40.
Deep gaps or uneven surfaces should first be repaired using concrete or Underlayment Mortar 801-WP80.
After pouring concrete, ensure it is fully cured before applying the adhesive. Old concrete surfaces should be cleaned to remove dirt and grease before starting.
Step 2: Pre-Application Recommendations
Clean, sweep, and dry the surface thoroughly before application.
Avoid applying P40 adhesive at temperatures below 15°C or during rainy days.
Do not store materials at temperatures below 5°C.
Prevent freezing of the materials in their storage containers.
Step 3: Preparing Materials and Tools
Materials Needed:
Adhesive powder
Resin solution
Tools Required:
Spatula
Step 4: Application of P40 Two-Component Sealant Adhesive
Stir the resin solution for 2 minutes.
Mix 200 grams of adhesive powder with 100 grams of resin solution until fully homogenized. (Inadequate mixing may result in surface cracking after application.)
Adjust the consistency of the mixture according to the application area, making it thicker or thinner as required.
Important Notes for Applying P40 Two-Component Sealant Adhesive
Drying Time:
Each layer of Isopol waterproofing adhesive takes approximately 3–4 hours to dry at a standard temperature of 25°C. Full curing requires about 48 hours.
Note: Lower temperatures increase the drying time for waterproofed surfaces.
