What is Resin Flooring with HBA-EF50 Hardener?
Resin flooring is an ideal and highly durable flooring solution for outdoor and open spaces subjected to heavy pressure and traffic. Resin flooring is a composite of polymer materials and mineral stones, creating a seamless, joint-free surface available in various colors and designs.
The technology used involves an exclusive and highly durable composite formulation of epoxy, combined with a patented catalyst (developed by Mandana Polymer Company), resulting in a product highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, impacts, and slipping. This prevents the surface from being slippery. Generally, resin flooring is ideal for open spaces subjected to heavy loads, pressures, and traffic. The lifespan of these floorings exceeds 10 years. Moreover, resin flooring is repairable in case of damage. According to field tests, resin flooring is highly resistant to heavy traffic from vehicles, forklifts, and exposure to various alkaline and acidic detergents.
Applications of Resin Flooring
Resin flooring is used in ramps, sloped surfaces, platforms with intense vibrations (as shock absorbers), pedestrian bridges and stairs, swimming pool edges, and open spaces.
Mandana Polymer Engineering Company, a knowledge-based and academic company, has achieved the technical expertise to produce various polymer products after years of research. Seamless polymer flooring is produced in Mandana Polymer’s industrial complex in industrial, commercial, and residential variants. In addition to manufacturing, Mandana Polymer provides specialized consulting services in epoxy flooring installation and supervision.
How to Use Resin Flooring with HBA-EF50 Hardener?
Surface Preparation and Pre-Application Recommendations
– Thoroughly clean and remove any dust or debris from the surface.
– If the surface is uneven or has irregularities, it must be leveled.
– Resin flooring should not be applied on rainy days, and the surface must be entirely free of moisture or water.
– The surface temperature must be at least 18°C or higher.
Application Steps
- Before mixing the resin and hardener, thoroughly stir the resin container to ensure any settled material is fully mixed with the active resin.
2. Add the recommended amount of hardener (19 grams per kilogram) gradually into the resin while stirring continuously. Mix the hardener and resin for precisely 3 minutes.
3. Using a trowel, spread a thin layer of resin flooring onto the prepared surface. Apply pressure to the trowel at an angle.
4. Clean the trowel regularly during application using an epoxy solvent.
5. After completing the designated area, cover the applied area with plastic sheeting to prevent dust from settling until the resin dries.
Drying Time
Avoid any traffic until the surface fully dries (approximately 12 hours).
