Decorative Epoxy Flooring
What is Decorative Epoxy Flooring?
Decorative epoxy flooring is an innovative alternative to traditional ceramic tiles, mosaics, and other floor coverings, making it a popular choice for residential homes, hospitals, retail spaces, industries, and workplaces. It is highly valued for its durability, aesthetic appeal, cost-effectiveness, and ease of cleaning. With its long-lasting properties and ability to be repaired if needed, it’s an ideal solution for various applications.
Mandana Polymer offers the following types of decorative epoxy flooring:
- Epoxy Sticker Design Flooring
- Glitter Epoxy Flooring
- Granite Epoxy Flooring
- 3D Epoxy Flooring
A smooth and well-prepared substrate is essential for high-quality epoxy flooring installation. Decorative epoxy flooring can be executed in various styles, including granite epoxy, sticker design epoxy, 3D epoxy, marble-like epoxy, and glitter epoxy. The standard process involves three layers: primer, basecoat, and a topcoat of transparent epoxy (commonly known as epoxy lacquer) to protect the design.
Mandana Polymer, as a knowledge-based engineering company, produces seamless, self-leveling decorative and industrial polymer flooring in its advanced industrial complex. The company also provides professional consultation and supervisory services for epoxy flooring installation.
How is Decorative Epoxy Flooring (3D Design) Installed?
#### Step 1: Pre-installation Recommendations
– Ensure the floor is thoroughly cleaned, free from water, and completely dry.
– For oily surfaces, clean with a degreasing solution before application.
– Ensure all tools and mixing containers are clean and free from contaminants.
– Store materials at the project site at least one day prior to application.
#### Step 2: Optimal Temperature Conditions
– Measure surface and material temperatures with a digital thermometer.
– Surface temperature during application should be between 20°C and 30°C. For deviations, consult Mandana Polymer’s technical team.
– Use a laser thermometer for accurate surface temperature measurement.
#### Step 3: Surface Preparation
– Decorative epoxy flooring should be applied on a surface pre-treated with EF10 primer, EF20 basecoat, and a colored epoxy topcoat.
– After the topcoat application, install the 3D image (sticker) following installation protocols.
– Apply a final transparent epoxy layer to seal and protect the design.
– Maintain appropriate intervals between applying each layer.
