How to Apply EP60 Epoxy Adhesive

Step 1: Preparation and Pre-Application Requirements

– Ensure the surface is completely dry and free from moisture, dust, and debris.
– Use the correct ratio of Component A (resin) and Component B (hardener). Avoid altering the specified proportions.
– Do not add other materials (e.g., thinner or plasticizers) to Component A or Component B.
– The recommended application temperature is between 20°C and 30°C.
– Avoid heating the materials with open flames or direct heat sources.
– After use, tightly seal the lids of the resin and hardener containers.
– Prevent any contact between the resin, hardener, and water or moisture.
– Mix the hardener thoroughly for one minute with a clean mixer until the material is homogeneous.

1. Keep the adhesive at room temperature (20°C to 30°C) for at least 24 hours before use.
   2. Measure the required amount of resin and mix it with the hardener. Stir gently and consistently for 3 minutes until fully blended.
   3. The mixing ratio is 2:1 by weight (e.g., 100g resin to 50g hardener). Ensure precise measurements and thorough mixing for homogeneity.
   4. After mixing, the resin begins to warm as the reaction starts. Within 20–30 minutes, the adhesive will reach a high temperature (around 70°C) and start to solidify. Complete hardening occurs within 45 minutes.
   5. At 25°C, initial drying takes 45 minutes, secondary drying takes 6 hours, and complete curing requires 5–7 days.
   6. If the adhesive or hardener separates into two phases after long storage, gently mix the contents to rehomogenize them before combining.
   7. Wear gloves and a mask during application for safety.
