Polymer-based sealer for stone and soil structures (polyShot)

Roller-applied epoxy with hardener EF31-HBA, is a heat-curable epoxy with polyamine or polyamide hardener, suitable for use as a floor coating for parking lots, walls and warehouses surfaces. Nowadays, to reinforce and prevent erosion of stone and soil in building structures, shotcrete or polymer-based structural strengthening materials are used.

What is the polymer reinforcement of stone and soil structure (polyshot)?

Roller-applied epoxy with hardener EF31-HBA, is a heat-curable epoxy with polyamine or polyamide hardener, suitable for use as a floor coating for parking lots, walls and warehouses surfaces. Nowadays, to reinforce and prevent erosion of stone and soil in building structures, shotcrete or polymer-based structural strengthening materials are used. During excavation, they refer to the vertical walls as shotcrete walls, which are susceptible to erosion. Finding a suitable solution to increase the structure's resistance against erosion, earthquakes and other natural factors has been one of the most significant challenges for contractors and construction project managers. In recent years, innovative methods and new materials have been employed for rehabilitation and structural strengthening purposes.

Polymer shotcrete (polymer-based structural strengthening) holds a distinctive position among the technologies due to its considerably lower overall cost when compared to traditional concrete spraying methods.MandanaPolymer, a knowledge-based company, is a pioneer in the production of various types of polymer shotcrete using the latest and most advanced knowledge and technology, ensuring the highest product quality. This new technology has gained attention in earthquake engineering and structural applications. The high mechanical and chemical resistance of polymer shotcrete against environmental factors makes it unique in natural erosion resistance for stone and soil.

Preparation and advice before playing the shot

  • Clean the desired surface before application.
  • Do not perform polyshot at a temperature lower than 15 degrees Celsius, also on rainy days.
  • In the field of temperature control before implementation, please contact the consultants of Mandana Polymer Company.
  • Do not store polyshot materials at temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius.
  • The time of starting the work should be such that all the layers are executed in one or two days in a row, and long intervals between the execution of the layers should be avoided.

Main tools:

Playshot execution steps

  • Apply the special primer completely to all parts of the surface using a hair roller or by spraying. For this purpose, 150 grams of primer should be used per square meter of area
  • After applying the primer, apply the second layer of reinforced polyshot fibers on the primer layer. . Allow the primer to dry for 3 hours at 25 degrees Celsius.
  • After the second layer has dried (usually 4 hours at 25°C), apply the third layer of polyshot.

Note: Applying polyshot at a temperature between 15-25 degrees Celsius requires more time to dry.
